On November 15th, Professor Wang Lin, Vice President of the Chinese Stomatological Association, Vice Chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Stomatology in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, and former Vice President of Nanjing Medical University, visited our academic lecture hall, bringing a wonderful academic feast to teachers and students. Vice-president Sun Hongzhi, cadres responsible for teaching work, directors of teaching and research departments, full-time teachers, and student representatives from each school attended the lecture. This academic lecture is hosted by Fan Zhongkai, Director of the Office of Science and Technology.

Professor Wang Lin delivered a report titled “Exploration and Practice of Future Medical Virtual Simulation Laboratory Construction”. Based on his experience in healthcare, teaching, and scientific research, he elaborated on how to carry out digital transformation in education from multiple dimensions and shared his insights on the construction of virtual simulation laboratories. Professor Wang Lin gave excellent explanations subsequently by offering videos to help the attending teachers and students gain a deeper understanding of how virtual simulation laboratories can overcome time and space limitations, enabling students to conduct experimental operations at any time and place. He stated that the digital transformation of education could not only improve the efficiency of experimental teaching, but also increase the number of exercises, deepen the understanding of the experimental process, and lay the foundation for improving the quality of experimental teaching.

The report deepened the understanding and comprehension of the digital transformation of education and virtual simulation laboratories among the attending teachers and students, and has good guidance and significance for the teaching and research work of JZMU.
