On October 28th-29th, the 2024 Immune Aging and Anti-tumor Immunity Forum, hosted by Jinzhou Medical University and the Basic Immunology Branch of the Chinese Society of Immunology, organized by the Research Institute of Life Sciences of JZMU and the JZMU Collaborative Innovation Center for Prevention and Treatment of Aging Related Diseases, and co-organized by the Liaoning Provincial Society of Immunology, was held in Jinzhou.
The theme of this forum is “Focusing on Immune Aging to Promote Anti-tumor Immunity”, aiming to promote new breakthroughs and progress in the fields of immunity and aging through high-level academic exchanges.

The forum invited professor Tian Zhigang (University of Science and Technology of China), academician of the CAE, vice director of the Academic Committee and director of the Institute of Immunology of the University of Science and Technology of China, director of the Academic Committee of the National Key Laboratory (preparatory) for Immune Response and Immunotherapy, director of the Laboratory of Biomedical Science and Health in Anhui Province, president of the Institute of Mass Health of the Integrated National Science Center in Hefei Province, and professor Wu Yuzhang (PLA Army Medical University), academician of the CAE, member of the academic department of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, chairman of the Chinese Society of Immunology, executive member of the Asian University Immunology Alliance, director of the National Engineering Laboratory, director of the pilot production center of the National Biological Industry Base, director of the National Immune Biological Products Engineering Technology Research Center, leader of the national innovation team in key fields, director of the national innovation talent training demonstration base, and other well-known experts and scholars attended the forum.Theforum carried out academic exchanges and reports on basic and transformational research on aging mechanism, immune aging and reconstruction, tumor metastasis intervention and immunotherapy, and cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment. President Qu Wei, and Jiang Huamao, principal of the First Affiliated Hospital of JZMU, attended the opening ceremony of the forum. Vice-president Zhong Hongshan presided over the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Qu Wei first expressed welcome and respect to all experts and scholars on behalf of JZMU. He stated that the aging issues in China called for the more researches in the fields of immune aging and tumor immunity, which has become a key development direction of national medicine. Collaborating to promote the linkage between industry, academia, research, and medicine, paving a path with Chinese characteristics to address population aging, and advancing the implementation of the Healthy China strategy, is not only the core essence of this forum, but also the mission of medical, technological, and educational workers in the era.


Professor Zhang Yu, Dean of the Research Institute of Life Sciences, Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Aging Related Diseases, and Chairman of the Conference, delivered a speech. He stated that the Collaborative Innovation Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Aging Related Diseases, established by Jinzhou Medical University, aimed to serve the health of the population and promote the prevention and treatment of aging related diseases. It has conducted basic and translational research on aging mechanisms, immune aging and reconstruction, tumor metastasis intervention and immunotherapy, and prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. He hoped that this forum could provide a platform for experts and scholars in the field to exchange ideas, promote opportunities for cooperation, and make new and greater contributions to the development of pharmaceutical and health industry of Liaoning Province!

After the opening ceremony, 17 experts and scholars from well-known universities and research institutes, such as the University of Science and Technology of China, the PLA Army Medical University, the University of Toronto, Peking University, Sichuan University, Sun Yat sen University, Suzhou University, Jinan University, Zhengzhou University, China Medical University, Tianjin Medical University, the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Oujiang Laboratory, etc., had in-depth exchanges and discussions for two days around the theme of the forum.







This forum provided a platform for experts and scholars in the field to exchange and learn from each other, analyzed hot and difficult topics in the field, exchanged technological innovation and practical experience, stimulated new thinking and prospects for immune aging and anti-tumor immune research, promoted the development and progress of tumor immunotherapy, and gathered wisdom and strength for the healthy development of Liaoning Province. Taking this forum as an opportunity, JZMU would strive to build an academic highland, innovation center, and high-level research and development base in the fields of immune aging and anti-tumor immunity, in order to achieve source innovation and deep transformation of cutting-edge technology solutions in related research fields, make new and greater contributions to the high-quality development of aging related disease prevention and treatment, and promote the construction of a healthy China, a strong science and technology country, and an educational country.
