On October 19th, JZMU the 9thInternational Cultural Festival of was held on the West Campus. Nearly 300 domestic and foreign students from 47 countries across five continents, dressing in traditional costumes of their respective countries,gathered together to participate in the festival. President Qu Wei and the entire leadership team of the School of International Education attended the cultural festival event.
Qu Wei delivered the opening speech. He stated that culture is colorful through communication and enriched through mutual learning. We aim to broaden the international perspective of young students from both China and abroad, cultivate awareness and attitudes of tolerance, mutual learning, and adaptation to cultural diversity, and promote mutual respect, understanding, and unity among different ethnic groups and countries by providing this cultural festival platform. JZMU would continue to commit to tell the story of China, spread the voice of China, and build the “Study in JZMU” education brand for comprehensively improving the quality of training for international students in China.

This international cultural festival included three themes: cultural performances, cultural exhibitions, and food sharing. International students dressed up and enthusiastically presented their country’s history, culture, and local customs to teachers and students.




The School of International Education has prepared 200 Chinese World Heritage postcards for students and distributed stickers with local characteristics to cultural booths in various countries for students to check in.

The International Cultural Festival has created an atmosphere of multicultural exchange and mutual learning, which has had a positive impact on mutual understanding and friendly exchanges between young students from China and abroad. Chinese and foreign students deepened their understanding of various cultures, enhanced their knowledge and comprehension of different cultures, and established lasting friendships. The International Cultural Festival is a platform to showcase the charm of multiculturalism and cultivate cross-cultural communication skills. Through this event, young students from China and abroad can further enhance understanding, promote friendship, deepen cooperation, and create a good atmosphere for cultural exchange and mutual learning.
