On October 14th, Professor Yao Wenbing, a national teaching master, chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Pharmacy Majors in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education, former vice-president of China Pharmaceutical University, and Professor Sun Jianping, member of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Pharmacy Majors in Higher Education Institutions under the Ministry of Education and secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Pharmacy at Harbin Medical University, visited our university‘s “Academic Lecture Hall”, bringing a wonderful academic feast to teachers and students. PresidentQu Wei, management officials, professional leaders, directors of teaching and research departments, full-time teachers, and pharmacy graduate students participated in the academic lecture. Vice-president Zhong Hongshan presided over the lecture.

Professor Yao Wenbing delivered a special report titled “Experience Sharing in Cultivating and Applying for Teaching Achievement Awards”. He shared his experience in cultivating and applying for teaching achievement awards based on practical work, introduced the importance, selection process, and application experience of applying for national teaching achievement awards, and focused on the planning, accumulation, and summarization of teaching achievement awards from three dimensions: teaching achievement award issues and topics, methods and practices, as well as innovation and promotion.

Professor Sun Jianping delivered a special report titled “New Developments and Reflections on the Construction and Talent Cultivation of Clinical Pharmacy in China”. He analyzed the opportunities and challenges faced by current clinical pharmacy education from multiple dimensions and proposed targeted solutions and strategies. He first reviewed the historical evolution of China’s pharmacist system and clinical pharmacy education, pointing out that the development of clinical pharmacy is centered on rational drug use. From a professional perspective, he accurately analyzed the current situation the construction of clinical pharmacy in China faced and pointed out the development direction of clinical pharmacy education.

The reports deepened the understanding and comprehension of clinical pharmacy education among the attending teaching and research cadres, teachers and students, and has important guidance and reference significance for our university to further improve the quality of clinical pharmacy education. It provided a clearer direction for our university to cultivate high-quality teaching achievements, broadened the educational and teaching ideas of our teachers, enhanced their educational and teaching abilities, and offered strong guidance and assistance for better application for teaching achievement awards.
